Configuring Check Intervals
The check interval determines how often Blimey pings your store to verify it's online.
Changing the interval
- Go to Settings in the Blimey sidebar
- Find the Check Interval setting
- Select your preferred interval
- Changes take effect immediately
Available intervals
You can check your store as frequently as every minute or less often depending on your needs.
Choosing the right interval
Every 1 minute — Best for high-traffic stores where every minute of downtime matters. Provides the most detailed response time data.
Every 2-5 minutes — Good balance for most stores. Catches outages quickly while using fewer resources.
Every 10+ minutes — Suitable for lower-traffic stores or when you don't need real-time monitoring.
What happens when you change it
When you update your check interval:
- The change takes effect immediately
- Your next check will be scheduled at the new interval
- Historical data from the old interval is preserved
- Charts and statistics adjust to show data at the new frequency
