Downtime Reminders
If your store stays down for an extended period, Blimey sends periodic reminder emails so you don't miss an ongoing outage.
How reminders work
After the initial downtime alert is sent, if your store remains continuously down, Blimey sends follow-up reminders at these intervals:
- 1 hour after the initial alert
- 2 hours after the initial alert
- 3 hours after the initial alert
- 24 hours after the initial alert
After the 4th reminder (at 24 hours), no more reminders are sent for that incident.
Why reminders exist
If your store goes down overnight or while you're away, you might miss the first alert. Reminders ensure that prolonged outages don't go unnoticed.
Good to know
- Reminders only send if the store has been continuously down since the initial alert
- If your store recovers and then goes down again, it's treated as a new incident with its own reminder schedule
- The reminder counter resets when your store recovers
- There's a minimum 30-minute gap between any two reminder emails
