How Often Is My Store Checked?
By default, Blimey checks your store at regular intervals that you can customise.
Viewing your current interval
Your current check interval is displayed on the Dashboard and Uptime Monitoring pages in the Check Interval card.
Changing the interval
- Go to Settings
- Find the Check Interval option
- Select your preferred frequency
- The change takes effect immediately
Choosing a frequency
- Every 1 minute — Maximum coverage, catches even brief outages
- Every 2-5 minutes — Good balance for most stores
- Every 10+ minutes — Less frequent, suitable for lower-priority monitoring
Impact on data
More frequent checks mean:
- More data points on your response time charts
- More precise uptime percentages
- Faster detection of outages
Less frequent checks mean:
- Fewer data points (charts may look sparser)
- Brief outages might be missed between checks
- Slightly less precise uptime percentages
