Incidents & Downtime Tracking
When Blimey detects that your store is down, it automatically creates an incident to track the outage.
How incidents are created
An incident is created when a check returns a "down" status. The incident records:
- Start time — When the outage was first detected
- Domain — Which domain was affected
- Status — Whether the incident is ongoing or resolved
How incidents are resolved
When a subsequent check shows your store is back online, the incident is automatically resolved. The resolution records:
- End time — When your store came back online
- Duration — How long the outage lasted
Viewing incidents
You can see incidents in two places:
- Dashboard — Shows recent incidents with status and duration
- Uptime Monitoring page — Shows incidents within the selected timeframe
What incidents tell you
Incidents help you understand:
- How often your store goes down
- How long outages typically last
- Whether outages are becoming more frequent
- Which domains are affected
Incident details
Each incident shows the specific domain that was unreachable and the exact timestamps, making it easier to correlate with any changes you may have made to your store or any Shopify platform issues.
