Installing Blimey
Getting started with Blimey takes just a few minutes.
Step 1: Install from the Shopify App Store
Find Blimey in the Shopify App Store and click Install. You'll be redirected to your Shopify admin to approve the app.
Step 2: Approve permissions
Blimey requires minimal permissions to operate. Once you approve, the app will be installed and you'll be taken to the Blimey dashboard inside your Shopify admin.
Step 3: Automatic setup
When you install Blimey, the following happens automatically:
- Your store's domain is detected and configured for monitoring
- Uptime checks begin at the default interval
- Your admin email is captured for notifications
Step 4: Configure your preferences
Visit the Settings page to:
- Adjust your check interval (how often your store is pinged)
- Enable or disable email notifications
- Add additional email addresses to receive alerts
- Set alert cooldown and delay preferences
That's it!
Blimey will start monitoring your store right away. Visit the Dashboard to see your first check results appear.
