Managing Your Domains
Blimey needs to know which domains are associated with your Shopify store so it can monitor the right ones.
Syncing your domains
Your domains are automatically captured when you install Blimey. To update them:
- Go to Settings in the Blimey sidebar
- Click the Sync Domains button
- Blimey fetches all domains from your Shopify store and updates its records
When to sync domains
You should sync your domains whenever you:
- Add a new custom domain to your Shopify store
- Remove a domain
- Change your primary domain
- Notice that Blimey is monitoring an outdated domain
Automatic domain updates
Blimey also listens for Shopify webhook notifications when domains are added, updated, or removed from your store. In most cases, your domain list stays up to date automatically.
Primary domain
Your primary domain is the main custom domain that Blimey monitors. This is typically your main storefront domain (e.g., yourstore.com). If you haven't set up a custom domain, Blimey monitors your .myshopify.com domain instead.
