Platform Status Alerts

Blimey can notify you when Shopify has platform-wide issues that may affect your store.

How platform alerts work

When Blimey detects a change in Shopify's platform status — either a new issue appearing or an existing issue being resolved — it can send you an email notification.

Enabling platform status alerts

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Toggle on Shopify Status Notifications
  3. Ensure you have at least one email recipient configured

Separate from uptime alerts

Platform status alerts are completely independent from your store's uptime alerts. You can:

  • Enable both uptime and platform alerts
  • Enable only uptime alerts
  • Enable only platform alerts
  • Disable both

When platform alerts are sent

  • When a new Shopify platform issue is detected
  • When an existing platform issue is resolved

You won't receive duplicate alerts for the same ongoing issue.
