Platform Status Alerts
Blimey can notify you when Shopify has platform-wide issues that may affect your store.
How platform alerts work
When Blimey detects a change in Shopify's platform status — either a new issue appearing or an existing issue being resolved — it can send you an email notification.
Enabling platform status alerts
- Go to Settings
- Toggle on Shopify Status Notifications
- Ensure you have at least one email recipient configured
Separate from uptime alerts
Platform status alerts are completely independent from your store's uptime alerts. You can:
- Enable both uptime and platform alerts
- Enable only uptime alerts
- Enable only platform alerts
- Disable both
When platform alerts are sent
- When a new Shopify platform issue is detected
- When an existing platform issue is resolved
You won't receive duplicate alerts for the same ongoing issue.
