Recovery Notifications
When your store comes back online after an outage, Blimey sends a recovery email to let you know everything is working again.
What's included in a recovery email
- Confirmation that your store is back online
- Which domain recovered
- How long the outage lasted
When recovery emails are sent
Recovery emails are only sent when:
- A downtime alert was previously sent for this incident
- Your store is confirmed to be back online
When recovery emails are NOT sent
- If the outage was shorter than your alert delay and no downtime email was sent
- If uptime notifications are disabled
- If no email recipients are configured
Why this matters
This gating ensures you don't receive confusing "Your store is back up" emails when you never received a "Your store is down" email in the first place. Notifications always come in logical pairs.
