When your store comes back online after an outage, Blimey sends a recovery email to let you know everything is working again.

What's included in a recovery email

  • Confirmation that your store is back online
  • Which domain recovered
  • How long the outage lasted

When recovery emails are sent

Recovery emails are only sent when:

  • A downtime alert was previously sent for this incident
  • Your store is confirmed to be back online

When recovery emails are NOT sent

  • If the outage was shorter than your alert delay and no downtime email was sent
  • If uptime notifications are disabled
  • If no email recipients are configured

Why this matters

This gating ensures you don't receive confusing "Your store is back up" emails when you never received a "Your store is down" email in the first place. Notifications always come in logical pairs.
