What Data Does Blimey Collect?

Blimey is designed to collect the minimum amount of data needed to provide uptime monitoring.

Store information

When you install Blimey, it captures:

Your store's domain name
Your store name
Your admin email address (for notifications)
Your Shopify plan name

Monitoring data

During operation, Blimey records:

Uptime check results — Status, response time, status code, and timestamp for each check
Incidents — Start time, end time, and duration of any outages
Daily summaries — Aggregated daily performance statistics

What Blimey does NOT collect

Customer data
Order information
Product data
Theme code or content
Payment information
Personal data beyond admin email

Permissions

Blimey uses the read_themes permission scope, which is the minimum required for a Shopify app to function. Blimey does not read, modify, or access your theme files.
