What Happens If I Uninstall and Reinstall?

If you uninstall Blimey and later decide to reinstall it, your historical data is preserved.

What happens on uninstall

Monitoring stops immediately
Your authentication token is cleared
Your store is marked as inactive
All your historical data is preserved (checks, incidents, summaries, settings)

What happens on reinstall

Blimey recognises your store and reactivates it
A new authentication token is created
Monitoring resumes with your previous settings
Your historical uptime data, incidents, and daily summaries are still available

Why data is preserved

We know that uninstalling might be temporary — maybe you're troubleshooting something or pausing for a while. We don't want you to lose valuable historical uptime data, so we keep it safe.
