Which Domain is Monitored?

Blimey monitors a single domain per check to keep things simple and efficient.

Domain priority

Blimey checks your domains in this order of preference:

1. Your primary custom domain (e.g., yourstore.com) — This is what your customers use, so it's the most important to monitor
2. Your .myshopify.com domain — Used as a fallback if you haven't set up a custom domain

Why only one domain?

Monitoring your primary custom domain is the most meaningful check because:

• It's the URL your customers actually visit
• Custom domain issues (DNS, SSL, CDN) are caught
• If your primary domain is working, your store is accessible to customers

Changing the monitored domain

The monitored domain updates automatically when:

• You sync your domains from the Settings page
• Your primary domain changes in Shopify
• Shopify sends a domain update webhook

If you want to change which domain is monitored, update your primary domain in your Shopify admin and then sync domains in Blimey.
